Mission: Supporting the application of our foundational content (i.e., B-K Standards, NC
Foundations for Early Learning and Development, NC Professional Teaching Standards,
etc.) and research-based approaches to teachers’ professional practice.

Goals for this Year:

  1. Create a presentation for Early Educator Support Office staff that aims to
    strengthen teacher supports for integrating evidence-based content. We will
    identify connections between Standard 5C and other elements of the NC TEP
    Rubric, as well as discuss strategies for effectively supporting teachers with
    Standard 5C content using field-based scenarios.
  1. Develop complementary resources to prepare literacy crosswalks (orig.
    developed 2022-23) for dissemination to staff and teachers.
  2. Review existing Quick Tips, brainstorm reformatting options to make them more
    user-friendly for mobile viewers; develop new Quick Tips based on areas of
    practice identified by teachers during the 2023 EOY survey – Inclusion,
    Classroom Management (universal & targeted strategies), and Empowering
    Children as Leaders
